about the work of Richard Curtis.
Biography

I trained as a designer in the U.K. and emigrated to Australia shortly after graduating. After working as a designer for the Australian National University in Canberra and various businesses in Adelaide and Melbourne, I settled in Armidale. Being a keen rock climber, it is not surprising that I fell in love with the New England granite country.
Since I moved to Armidale I have worked for several years in adult education and as an illustrator in the educational software industry.
Much of my work clearly shows my design background and combinesw a keen interest in bird painting with a longstanding love of landscape. I hope a sensitivity to wildlife comes through in my paintings of birds and their environment.
INFLUENCES
Influences include the wildlife painters
Raymond Harris-Ching (NZ) and Robert Bateman (Canada), whilst expressionist influences can be seen in my abstract works.
