Rowena Post Profile
Biography
My weavings come from a different place. In them I have used the colours from the New England landscape and its moods which change so quickly and dramatically. They are meant to represent a descending dialogue from the diary of the landscape. They are passages of time read from top to bottom like the growth rings of trees.
This time around my four daughters are also exhibiting so you will see and enjoy a momentary window into each of their artistic journeys. Each is travelling in a very different direction and each is at a different point in time in that journey.
My eldest daughter Louise has already exhibited successfully in Sydney and overseas and was winner of the Mosman Youth Art Prize one year. My youngest daughter Isabella is 11 years old and just beginning but even so you can see a style developing. Jenny's paintings are abstract and introspective and deal with the struggle that is life and Madelene's photographs capture fleeting moments that remind us that we are just a small part of a huge universe.
