Biography

Born in Masterton, New Zealand, Kim Nolan moved to Australia two years ago. She trained as a glass blower at Wanganui Polytechnic graduating with a Diploma in Hot Glass and Production in 1996.

The Last decade has seen her move more in the direction of landscape sculpture and working with concrete as well as glass.

She draws on nature, texture, form and movement to make each piece a one off and unique. The concept behind her work is to have it in the garden amongst plants and stones and have it as a pleasant surprise when found. Many pieces are designed to catch rain water for lizards and birds to drink from.
