Biography

My work embraces inspirations from many different cultures, and is often a fusion of two or more cultural influences. The pieces often take on a rather whimsical and sculptural form, yet still remaining functional. It is my desire to bring pleasure to my audience as well as to myself.

1952 - Born in Tokyo, Japan
1973 - Graduated from Musashino Art College, Certificate in Craft Design (Ceramics) Tokyo, Japan
1973.74 - Worked as a ceramic instructor at Daishinen Pottery Studio, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan
1974.78 - Worked as a ceramic instructor at the Nippon Ceramic Art Club, Tokyo, Japan
1979.91 - Worked as a studio ceramicist and as an instructor in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan
1991 - Migrated to Australia
1992 - Set-up private workshop in Armidale NSW, currently working as a ceramic artist.
