Biography

As a contemporary Japanese ceramist, my work explores the innate energy and pure colors of the Australian environment. The traditional method and techniques embraced within the new context of Australia has brought forth a new form of aesthetic, as evident in my work.

1951 - Born in Tokyo, Japan
1975 - Graduated from Musashino Art College, Certificate in Craft Design (Ceramics) Tokyo, Japan
1975.79 - Worked as a ceramic instructor at the Nippon Ceramic Art Club in Tokyo, Japan
1979.91 - Worked as a studio ceramicist and as an instructor in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan
1991 - Migrated to Australia
1992.current - Set-up private work shop in Armidale, NSW working as a ceramic artist
